DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY:

Rapidly-growing Manhattan-based new media production company, Zoom In Online (ZIO), is seeking top-tier interns for an entry level Web Design position. This is a highly competitive position, which offers real-world experience at a leading Internet company. We must stress we are looking for interns who have WEB experience: HTML, CSS, and any other Front End WEB design. Graphic artist does not a web designer make.

Zoom In Online (ZIO) is an award-winning online video network, covering the best in pop culture. ZIO engenders four online communities – Film & TV, Music, Photography, and Design – with all original content through daily blog posts, news stories, and video shows.

ZIO PRO provides working professionals in media and entertainment with access to exclusive news, trends, industry celebrities, event coverage, and award winning software training through original blog journalism and original video shows.

INTERNSHIP:

This intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Creating HTML email campaigns with corresponding landing pages

• Designing marketing collateral materials

• Package design for DVD materials

• Creation of editorial web graphics

• Modify existing HTML templates

The ideal candidate possesses the following skills:

• Creative knowledge of Adobe CS4 suite – Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator

• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS

• Desire to learn skills in new media and viral marketing

• Self-motivation and attention to detail

This is a great opportunity to take the skills you’ve been learning in school and apply them to real business situation. This person will work closely with the Director of Marketing on all creative as well as logical click paths, direct response, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization.

This internship will focus on social media expertise and marketing messaging as much as it does on design. We’ll focus on building a visually effective call to action, improve social media integration with existing content and regularly new media tools like iTunes, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
